Team Abu Dhabi Triathlon training camp (23.06.2010)
The date for the second edition of the Abu Dhabi International Triathlon is set. It is March 12th 2011. There will also for the 2nd time a team training camp before the race.
At the moment it is not the best time to think about the cold season but it will come faster than the most of us would like it. Who does not look forward after a long and colder winter to take his bike and cruse around in short pants? Many athletes plan a training camp in February or March. Often it is not that easy to find the right destination with good training conditions and the adequate climate. If someone would like to do a race at the end of the camp then you have to go quite far for example to the USA or Australia. For those who do not want to travel that long the Emirate Abu Dhabi seems to be a perfect place to go to. There your find stable weather conditions with approximately 25 to 30 degrees Celsius, swimming feasibilities in form of outdoor pools or the ocean, different bike and running routes from flat to hilly and on top a triathlon race with world-class competitors and a race course which shows everything Abu Dhabi can offer. There is no place in the world you will find that.
Team Abu Dhabi Triathlon will organize a triathlon camp in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi where Faris Al-Sultan and the rest of the team will show their abilities in different workouts. The following dates will be offered:
19th February to 5th March 2011 (training in Al Ain)
26th February to 13th March 2011 (training in Al Ain and triathlon in Abu Dhabi)
5th March to 13th March 2011 (training in Al Ain and triathlon in Abu Dhabi)
