The athlete from Herzogenaurach, Germany, will race Ironman Florida on Saturday

The qualification mode for the Ironman World Championships on Hawaii has been changed recently. Now pro athletes have to collect points at Ironman and Ironman 70.3 races. The best-ranked female and male athletes will qualify in that way for Kona.

Swen will start his qualification tour for next year’s race on Hawaii on Saturday at Ironman Florida. After he did not race in Hawaii because of personal reasons he has safed his power and he is highly motivated to fight for a top result in Florida.

In the last weeks Swen trained in Germany. It worked pretty well. “It was tough not to race in Hawaii. I really looked forward to that race. Now I hope I can show my shape in Florida”, Swen says the day before the race.
