Swen Sunberg on US Tour (16.04.2010)

Team member Swen Sundberg will compete at first in New Orleans. The Ironman 70.3 is already on upcoming Sunday. Two weeks later he will be at the starting line of Ironman St. George in Utah.

Since Monday Swen is in the US. He will try to qualify early for the Ironman World Championships on Hawaii. Therefore a result under the best 4 is necessary in St. George on May 1^st. Swen is optimistic to reach that goal because he could train in the winter months without any injuries and other incidents. He spent most of the time from December until March in the United Arab Emirates under perfect conditions.

The athlete from Herzogenaurach, Germany, could show his good shape already at the Abu Dhabi International Triathlon in March. In a high-class field, which was not inferior than the field at the Ironman Hawaii, he could rank 15^th.

On upcoming Sunday Swen will match himself with top athletes like the multiple Ironman champion Chris McCormack at Ironman 70.3 New Orleans. It will be the last test before Ironman St. George. Especially his bike shape raises his hopes to reach top results at both races. He could plan the rest of the season in a better way if he would qualify for Hawaii that early.
