“Roth was a great experience!” (20.07.2010)

The Abu Dhabi Triathlon relay with the winner of our raffle, Philipp Görgen, had also a great day at the Challenge Roth.

“Though it was tough at the end but it was fun”, Philipp Görgen said at the evening after he crossed the finish line together with Elina Ussher and Christof Wandratsch. All 3 of them gave their best. Christof exited the water with the fastest swim time of the day in 46:08 and Elina ran a sensational marathon in 3:03:59. Philip performed well too. After his opinion it was “just” a time of 5:42h in the list of results. “It did not work well. I was tired and the wind on the course hurt me too.” On the second of 2 loops the winner of our raffle had to slow down a little bit and he got an 8-minute penalty for drafting. “At the end that did not matter. Elina was surprised as she saw me in the transition area. Somebody told her that I would need more than 6 hours.” Just after 9:30h all 3 of them crossed together the finish line. “To race with Abu Dhabi Triathlon Team was a great experience. The relay with 2 world-class athletes as Elina and Christof are was a lot of fun. Now I am motivated to race next year at the Challenge Roth as an individual”, Philip was exited after the event.
