PowerBar celebrates its 25th anniversary (07.07.2011)

1986 PowerBar was founded. The company can look back on a successful development in sports nutrition. That is a good reason to celebrate and to go through the last years.

Dirk Aschmoneit, a former German triathlon legend, won the race in Roth in PowerBar’s founding year. 25 years later he will be again on the starting line. Before the competition PowerBar will invite Dirk and actual triathlon heroes like Andreas Raelert, Sebastian Kienle and Faris Al-Sultan to a talk with Mike Hamel. That will happen on Friday at Roth’s Expo at 2.30 pm.

In contrast to Raelert and Kienle, who will do the full race, Faris will just be part of a team relay of the Bavarian radio station. As the years before he will do the cycling part as a preparation for the Ironman European Championships in Frankfurt. Kristin Möller and Christof Wandratsch will also be part of a team relay. The tiny woman from Fürth will discover the bike course. Christof can be seen in his favourite discipline – the swimming. His goal is to set the best swim split of the day.

6 flight hours west Paul Ambrose will be at the Ironman 70.3 Rhode Island. As he focuses on that type of races he will try reach again a podium result. His main goal is the Ironman 70.3 World Championships on Lake Las Vegas in September. He does not need to worry that much about the qualification any more as he already collected a lot of qualification points.
