Pete Jacobs 2nd at the Australian Championships (21.02.2010)

Pete Jacobs first highlight of this year’s triathlon season was the Australian Championships over the long distance in Huskisson. He raced as titleholder and had the same goal for this year’s race. As a world-class swimmer Pete came out of the water with the first group. On the bike he had a perfect ride and finished that stage with the fastest split overall. But the field of the competitors was strong. Especially Craig Alexander, the 2 times Ironman World Champion, has to be mentioned. He left the second transition area 2 minutes behind Pete. But on that day Craig could not be beaten by anyone. But Pete crossed the finish line just 1 minute behind the World Champion and finished second. Team Abu Dhabi Triathlon congratulates Pete for that great performance!
