Kristin Möller at the Rothsee Triathlon (27.06.2011)

After Kristin did the Speedman on Saturday she went to the Rothsee to race the Olympic distance. With a 2nd place Kristin finished the weekend.

A successful quarterfinal of the Speedman was Kristin’s first step towards the final. Then she was lucky with the drawing and qualified directly for the final in the Munich Olympian Park. She finished the Speedman on the 9th place. The short distance specialists as Anne Haug, who won the race, were too fast for here in a race which just lasted a little more than 20 minutes.

Just a day later Kristin was on the starting line of the Rothsee Triathlon. The Olympic distance is one of the biggest in that area of Germany. More than 1.000 athletes were waiting for the start in the Rothsee. Before Kristin started with triathlon she was a runner. She worked hard on her swim performance in the last months but there is still some work to do. She was 10th woman who came out of the Rothsee. On the bike Kristin could overtake 2 athletes. But it was her run which was great that day. With the by fare fastest run split she could pass by another 5 competitors. In the end just the winner, Anja Ippach, was too fast for Kristin.
