Paul, who usually lives in Sydney, will spend most of the summer (from the view of the northern hemisphere) in the USA. Earlier as in the last years he came to Boulder. That is the place were he will train. After the Ironman 70.3 races in California and Texas he focuses on one of his season’s highlights. On Saturday he will meet some strong guys in Utah. The Ironman St. George is one of the toughest races in the circuit. The weather cannot be calculated but also on the course he will have a hard time – rough road surface and some altitude difference. Paul wants to set the base for the Hawaii qualification in Utah. He is on the best way to do that. Already in California Paul has shown how strong he is.
Jan has similar tasks to fulfil. He is also after points but those are different ones. His goals are the Olympic Games 2012. The World Cup in Monterrey offers a good chance to work on the ITU world ranking. After 2 wins at the Continental Cup races in Latin America and after some good training weeks in Mammoth Lakes in California Jan is confident to reach his goal. His main triathlons of the season will be later in the summer. He wants to gain his peak at the World Championship Series race in Kitzbühl and Hamburg. There he wants to reach his national, Dutch qualification of the Olympic Games in London.
