Firtz Buchstaller
Fritz who is the boss of Radsport Buchstaller has been looking after Faris bikes for more than 8 years. He is an ambitious triathlete and biker himself and his mechanics are on the bike as well as at the bike more than average concerning performance and experience. You can discuss things like training, nutrition, bike position and material at the shop, which may prolong a stay for hours. But it does not necessarily mean that you have to be of the same opinion as Fritz.
Beside the bike of Faris almost all bikes of the big players of the national and international triathlon sport are worked on, tuned or build together in the shop in Hilpoltstein, which is close to the swim start of the Cahllenge Roth. Apart from his Frankish calmness and his superior competence Fritz’ character is marked by his ability to solve individual problems. It happens that a component is cut by hand, filed or shaped just to fulfill the customer’s wishes. Bodo Dresel
Bodo has been a friend to Swen for many years. With his bike competence he has been supporting him since 2004. Now he also helps Team Abu Dhabi Triathlon with words and deeds. The members of the team visited his shop at the beginning of season 2009. When Bodo’s shop had open house, many team suppliers presented their products and visitors could test these or could do a bike workout with the team members. Heiko Fischer
Heiko is an enthusiastic triathlete and partner at the tax accountant Steinbach + Partner. He has been supporting Faris in his tax matters for many years. With the foundation of Team Abu Dhabi Triathlon he will also provide his expertise to the team. Gerd Hirschenberger
Gerd is the Austrian branch of the team and he is the contact person concerning bike problems and for many other things. His passion is clearly cycling whether as athlete or as a profession as bike shop owner. Almost 20 years ago he started to work as a bike mechanist. 2004 he opened his own business in the tiny village of St. Marein in Styria. After he focused on selling triathlon equipment a relationship and in the end a friendship to Werner started. Now he also supports the team. Wolfi Hohmann
Wolfi with his bike shop in the United Arab Emirates is our contact person for any problems with the bikes and different other things. He became a friend to Faris in the last years but also to all of the boys and girls who were in the Emirates for a training camp. Together with his wife Gabi the bike enthusiast has opened Wolfi’s Bike Shop in Dubai in the year 2002. Before that he had been running a shop in Germany for more than 15 years. Wolfi’s Bike Shop quickly developed into the place to go for bikers and triathletes in the UAE. The bike tours he organizes every Friday morning are legendary. More than one hundred athletes are part of the tour every week. In the future the members of Team Abu Dhabi Triathlon will be more than happy to join this ride when they are in Dubai. www.wbs.ae
Roman Leischik, MD
Roman is a specialist in internal medicine with the focus on cardiology. He is the head of the area prevention, health promotion and sports medicine at the university of Witten/Herdecke (member of the department since 2004) and he holds additional certificates in sports medicine, traffic medicine and hypertensiology. Beside his successful career as a medical doctor he is an enthusiastic triathlete. In spring 2011 Roman went with Abu Dhabi Triathlon Team on a training camp to the United Arab Emirates. Since then he has supported the team athletes. He completes the team perfectly together with Andreas Kreutz, MD. Roman’s experiences and especially his enthusiasm for the sport makes him an important supporter of the team. www.dr-leischik.de
Peter Pöltl
Peter has been a friend and sponsor to Swen for many years. He supported the team in its search for partners from the very beginning. His assistance is outstanding and is not taken for granted because Peter runs his own business – an engineering office. But he is a fan of triathlon or perhaps more than that. Holger Schiegl
Holger trained to be a professional orthopedic technician but his passion has always been cycling and working on bikes. He has swapped his profession but kept his skills and instead of producing insoles he now repairs bikes with the same precision and diligence. When it comes to selling bikes, he has earned his customers' conficence through his sympathetic attitude, his competence and his enthusiasm. At the age of twenty Holger decided took the step into self-employment and we are happy to count him and his "speedcompany" among our friends.
